James Merrill House

I’m happy to say that I’ll be in residence at the James Merrill House in Stonington, CT, in 2024, continuing my work on a trilogy of novels that pivots on the singular William James (1842–1910). Like the poet Merrill (and Yeats, Plath, Gertrude Stein, among many) James believed that communications to and from the dead were possible—and could open up new truths. Having access to Merrill’s personal library of books about mysticism and the paranormal is a dream come true.
